Black Vinyl is the shit!

First week in Borås went smooth! Ok, going by bike to work, about 6,5km up and downhill was quite hard but at the end of the week most of the road felt ok at least.
This weekend is dedicated to set the vinyls up, of course mine came with the moving truck and Peter took his with him coming to Borås after working the week in Malmö...
First task for me was to update my list, I haven't really kept that one updated the last couple of months... Said and done, all the LP's are in there now and after that, this good piece of music ended up at line 666...

Greatest coverart ever, right?

Coven - Blessed Is The Black was on sale at Åhlens in Sandviken ages ago... I think I picked out everything looking like Metal. It was probably something like, 20SEK each, 10 for 100. So this was one of that batch. Titles as McDonaldland Massacre and Iron Dick didn't really convince me this would be a favorite in my collection but then there are songs as Another Life and Out Of The Grave that are amazing really... So it was absolutely worth the money!
After updating the list all the sorting started, new ones, the ones never put into the shelves and of course the ones messed up during the move. Pretty soon we realized Peter has the opening up on the plastic cover and me to right... My way is the right of course but Peter won and for that he got to change all my plastic covers so they too have the opening up too!

Peter dealing with his price...

There sure will be a lot of music in this flat and I'm sure the Vinyl shelf will look very mighty when it's done. It won't be the easiest thing to get it in order though. At least both of us has sorted the records the same way, it still will be a lot of work to piece together my ten crates with Peter's ten...

About 20 crates of vinyl

Well, the sorting is pretty much done, now all that's left is to get the LP's out of the crates and in to the big shelves... I guess that will be a task for tomorrow, or we need to drink some beer asap to get new inspiration.

And this is where all of it is going

The good thing with working in the living room is the access to the stereo. Even if it's fun to watch the big TV there's nothing as good as working with good music in the speakers. And the last few weeks has provided two amazing records. First of course, Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier. Perhaps a little hard to get into but it sounds very promising. Then mighty Accept with Blood Of The Nations... Great really, from start to end!

I doubt the vinyls will be up tonight! Not too bad though to hang out in the living room (especially now when we have a livingroom that's not also the bedroom, closet, storage etc) and listen to music one more day!!!
Cheers
E
